I'm sure you've seen the Cingular-ATT ad campaign with the graduated bars that you see everywhere. The bars indicate the receptivity or strength of your call. If you have only one bar of receptivity, you might drop that call; but if you have all five bars, that's a great connection: you're going to hear everything the other person says, and they are going to hear every word you say, loud and clear. Today as we talk about "Prayers that really connect," I want you to think of prayer as a call you make on your cell phone. If prayer is like a call, you want to have five bars of receptivity and no dropped calls - you want God to hear every word you say, and you want to hear everything God says when He speaks to you. Listen to this quote from the ALLTEL website: "We strive to make sure every call goes through and stays connected." When we pray, we want to make sure every prayer goes through and that we stay connected to God. Did you know that not all prayers have the same receptivity?
