The Apostle Paul was a man who had been knocked down many times, but he was never knocked out. In this passage, he confessed that although his humanity was like a jar of clay, but that jar was filled with a priceless treasure: the life of the Lord Jesus Christ. Because of what (or Who!) was in Paul, he was unbreakable: hard-pressed but not crushed, perplexed but not in despair, persecuted but not forsaken, struck down but not destroyed.
