STRATEGIC MISSIONS INVOLVEMENT COMMITTEE
The S.M.I.C. is one of the mission arms of First Baptist Church. It is charged to provide mission opportunities for the individuals and families of First Baptist. To that end, it has sponsored mission trips to restore Edgewater Baptist Church in New Orleans after hurricane Katrina, to North Cross, a new church start outside Atlanta, to provide medical and basic humanitarian needs in Nicaragua, to pass out Bibles and other witnessing materials to Chinese tourists in Thailand , to work with Southern Baptist Missionaries in the impoverished Ocoee area around Cleveland, Tennessee, and to work with other churches in ministry to the Baptist College of Florida.
